Shay Johnson, DPT

Shay Johnson, DPT

Shay comes from Texas but has spent the majority of his life in Southern California. He earned his Doctorate Degree from San Diego State University in 2016. Shay has focused his expertise in orthopedic settings and has specialized in Active Release Technique (ART) of which he has several certifications. During Shay's previous employment he had the opportunity to be one of the primary therapists for several elite athletes including members of the Olympic triathlon team. Prior to his career in PT, Shay served his country in the US Navy where he was a member of the strike team and in charge of the Tomahawk weapon system. In his spare time, Shay has a wealth of hobbies. Shay is a triathlete but mostly an avid mountain trail runner. He is a beekeeper, woodworker, and gardener with a goal of being as self-sustaining as possible. Shay is excited to now work at Anderson PT to help others get moving so they can pursue their passions.
Brian Baas

Brian Baas, PT

Brian is the founder and owner of Anderson Physical Therapy. He is currently taking an administrative role as well as providing patient care on a fill-in basis. Brian graduated from Fresno State University in 1992 and has been involved with private practice development and outpatient physical therapy since that time. Brian attended grade school in the Redding area before moving to the San Diego area for high school. Brian then attended Fresno State University, receiving his degree in Physical Therapy. He is involved in community outreaches, has served as Anderson High Schools athletic team therapist, and enjoys developing physical therapy programs. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his two daughters, playing basketball, golfing, wake-surfing, and cycling.

Haley Booth, PTA

Haley is graduate from IOT's Physical Therapist Assistant program and is a Redding native. When she's not busy pursuing her passion of helping patients rehabilitate and reach their goals, she stays busy with her family. She enjoys hiking, lake days, cooking and crafts with her 2 children. As a recent graduate, Haley is excited to gain valuable experience in the outpatient setting and is happy to be a part of the APT team.

Renee Miner, PTA

Renee graduated from Shasta College's PTA program and is proud to call herself a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant. During her clinical rotations she gained invaluable experience in both the orthopedic and skilled nursing setting. She is eager to continue her career growth with Anderson Physical Therapy and looks forward to gaining advanced certifications to better help her patients. Her goal is to empower individuals to overcome physical challenges and embrace a better quality of life. When she is not working with patients, she can usually be found attending one of her children's sporting events, baking, or out in her garden.
Abbie Wilford, PTA

Abbie Wilford, PTA

Abbie is a graduate of the Physical Therapy Assistant program at Shasta College in Redding. Continuing to build on her skills and expand her knowledge in the outpatient setting, she is focused on providing the best possible care for our patients. Abbie's primary goal is to help each patient feel supported and empowered throughout their rehabilitation process. She feels privileged to guide them towards achieving their goals and regaining the confidence to return to their daily activities. Outside of work, Abbie enjoys reading, cooking, and staying active at the gym.

Ellen Ralston, PTA

Ellen grew up as a Bay Area kid in Northern California. She empathizes greatly with her patients bringing a strong conviction to make a difference in their lives. Many of her patients suffer from low back pain and/or limited mobility. Ellen loves being able to offer pool therapy exercises helping her patients make their way from pain to freedom. Her background is in the business world, "crunching numbers." Yet, about 10 years ago, she had an opportunity for change. Ellen was a volunteer firefighter, but it was the medical aspect that she truly loved. This led to her pursuing EMT at Sacramento State and working on an ambulance for a few years. Afterwards, she became an ER tech, working in a local hospital. Eventually, her journey led to the PTA program at Institute of Technology in Redding. In her leisure, Ellen loves to work with her hands, either renovating her house or in the garden trying to grow vegetables. Her fluffy golden retriever supervises from the couch.

Alisa, PT Tech

Alisa is originally from Corning. She appreciates the cheerful work environment and camaraderie of the team at Anderson Physical Therapy. Alisa has previous experience in the caregiving industry and enjoys helping patients regain their strength and seeing them return to previous lifestyles. In her spare time, Alisa enjoys playing softball, hanging with friends, and hiking in and around the Redding area.

Joey, PT Tech

Joey is from Redding. He loves working in a gym setting, and he trains at the gym 4-5 days a week. Joey has also previously worked as a CNA. He is currently a student at Shasta College. Joey's future plans are to become a nurse or Physical Therapist Assistant. He loves weight training, going on trips with his girlfriend, and watching football. Go Niners!!

Brooke, PT Tech

Brooke is local to Anderson. She recently graduated with her Bachelor's of Kinesiology from Simpson University and her career goal is to one day become a Physical Therapist Assistant. As a PT Tech, Brooke enjoys working with our patients and teaching them the many exercises that will help them in their rehab journeys with us. In her spare time, you can find her hanging out with friends and family or on the lake boating or paddle boarding.
Everett, PT Tech

Everett, PT Tech

Everett is originally from Redding, but grew up in the rural town of Burney. He graduated from College of The Siskiyous with two Associate's degrees in Theatre Arts and Liberal Arts and Science Humanities emphasis. Everett has always had a passion for bodybuilding and how the body works. Before coming to Anderson Physical Therapy, he was a PE paraprofessional at his former high school of Burney Jr./Sr. High School. He coached students through the basics of weightlifting and the importance of physical education. Everett has plans of continuing his education to become a PTA in the future.

Jered, PT Tech

Jered was born and raised in Anderson. As a Physical Therapist Tech, he brings a positive attitude as he assists our patients with their exercises and rehabilitation. Jered hopes to pursue a future career in Physical Therapy. Before his time at Anderson PT, he was a shift lead at a local restaurant. In his spare time, Jered likes to bake sweets and he also volunteers at the Haven Humane Society in the kitten nursery.

Rayelle, PT Tech

Rayelle is proud to be born and raised in Redding. As a PT Tech, she enjoys working with our patients, getting to know each one of them and their stories! Currently, Rayelle is working on her pre-requisites at Shasta college. She is considering her options between studying to be a dialysis nurse or a Physical Therapist. When she is not at the clinic, Rayelle loves to take in the outdoors, and long walks on the beach with her boyfriend and their puppy, Milo.

Megan, Scheduling Coordinator

Megan was born in Fall River Mills and has lived in Northern California her whole life. Her work background includes customer service, in-home community care, and banking, and she is currently finishing her Bachelor's Degree in Business. Megan joined our team as the front desk receptionist/scheduling coordinator in September of 2023, and enjoys providing a fun and friendly patient experience. Megan spends much of her free time outdoors with her family taking advantage of the beautiful recreation opportunities the Redding area provides. Some of her favorite activities include kayaking, fishing, hiking, and camping with her husband and two children.

Emily, Receptionist

Emily is originally from Los Molinos. She graduated from IOT as an MA in 2018 and worked in the field for several years before realizing that receptionist work is what she's passionate about. Emily enjoys assisting patients with their scheduling needs and loves being a kind, listening ear on the other end of the phone. Empathy is a strength of hers and she daily brings this asset to our team. Emily and her husband run a race team together. Emily is the crew chief, so outside of work, you can find her in the shop or at the dirt track.
